Winter Wonderland

This is one of my absolutely favourite people, Clare. We stepped out in the snow to make something beautiful happen for our mutual blogs (http://rainbowsandfairydust.blogspot.com). Primarily the strength of these photos is the colours and contrasts, but I've thrown in a black and white too, cos things always look good in black and white don't they?!

There's nothing like a bit of black and white to tell a story.

Been working on Clare for a while to get her to stop smiling!  Beautiful.

I love the way the snow is piled up and messy here; it really contrasts with the straight line of the wall leading up to the subject.  Sorry, to Clare.  And yes, she's sitting straight on that wall, no blanket, nothing.  She's a badass.

The world's tallest wood elf.

Awesome colours and constrasts.  I like how this makes Clare look tiny, and the trees look immense.

I like movement shots, they're a bit of a theme for me.  I like to capture people getting to the pose rather than in the pose-you see much more of a person this way than when they're practiced and polished.
